Protects Pancreatic Beta cells from oxidative stress, Jamun seed extract have shown to increase the activity of antiperoxidative enzymes in diabetic rats. This shows that Jamun seed poses anitoxidant property. Chemically Jamun seeds contain quercetin, gallic acid, and ellagic acid which are known antioxidants.
